Please Pray For Us

As many of our friends know by now, Caryn and I have become convinced that our next phase of life and ministry is to be lived out in the New York metropolitan area. We have much to tell about the feelings we have about leaving our beloved family, friends and church. We are also so excited about the adventure ahead. We will be sending out the story with all the details soon.

Right now, however, we are just asking if our family and friends will pray specifically for the transition time. As you can imagine, it is difficult, challenging and exciting all at the same time. We really believe that God works through prayer, so we are really hoping that many will take these requests and pray often for us. Thank you!

Our Home Sale: We ask that you would pray specifically that our mortgage company will approve us for a short sale, since we are "upside down" on our house. We are current on our payments which actually makes this approval a challenge! We want to keep our good credit and maintian our integrity. Our prayer is that we can sell our house and fulfill our financial obligation so that we can preserve our good credit rating and be free of the financial burden.

Michael Going Away To College: We ask that you pray for us as Michael goes up to Flagstaff to attend Northern Arizona University. We are excited for him, but very sad that we will be so far apart. We ask that you pray for him, that he would find good Christian friends, that God will provide the finances, and that he would adjust well. Pray also for us, it is soooo sad that we will not see him every day.

Finances: Please pray that God will provide for our significant financial need. Since we are going as missionaries to New York, we need to raise our own support, including moving expenses. Please pray that God will provide abundantly.

Place To Live: Pray for us as we search for a house to rent in New York. Our prayer is that it will be near a great school and a train station. Also, we would like to find a home that will accept our dog, Cosmo.

Moving: Finally, for all of the millions of details that go into moving. It is a bit overwhelming to think that we need to be on the road in 8 weeks! Please pray for our packing, saying goodbyes, finishing well at our current ministry, etc.
